Reflecting on 10 years of Transformational Regeneration Areas

10 years on and we can see the changes the transformational regeneration areas have had on the communities of Glasgow — we want to hear from the people who live in them.

A hand points towards the viewer and text reads: 'What does living in a TRA neighbourhood mean to you? If you live in these 6 areas: Maryhill, Sighthill, Pollokshaws, Laurieston, North Toryglen or Gallowgate then we would like to hear from you!'

What is the project

Transformational Regeneration Areas are a strategic programme of housing-led regeneration and covers 8 areas within the city. To mark the 10 years of this programme, Glasgow City Council are looking to carry out an evaluation through community engagement, asking the community to evaluate their area to give a sense of what has improved through the regeneration and what still needs to be worked on.

Our involvement

To assist with the engagement process, the Centre for Civic Innovation has been approached to co-create and facilitate the engagement model for 6 of the TRA areas, highlighting the insights generated through the engagement and allowing these to be shared with the Transforming Communities: Glasgow Board to inform future approaches.

What we are looking to do

We would like to hear from people living in the the TRA areas within the neighbourhoods of Maryhill, Sighthill, Gallowgate, North Toryglen, Pollokshaws, and Laurieston about how you feel about the areas and how you have seen them change. We would like to understand your thoughts and experiences living in these areas and take away lessons on how the regeneration has been carried out.

How to get involved

We know different people will have different preferences for how they would like to speak to us, so we have options outlined below for how you can get involved.
